A young boy, who died of injuries after being struck by a motorcycle earlier this week in Salina, has been identified.

Salina police on Thursday said 6-year-old Tucker Sorensen passed away Tuesday at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, after having been hit by one of two motorcycles being ridden by 14-year-old boys on Monday.

Salina police, who continued to investigate the accident, said the child had stepped in front of the dirt bike about 6:20 p.m. Monday, suffering severe head trauma when hit.
