Three finalists for the top job in the Salt Lake City School District will make their final pitches to the school board next week.

The superintendent candidates are scheduled to visit with school and city leaders, followed by public interviews by the Salt Lake City school board on Monday, April 18, and Tuesday, April 19.

Following their board interviews, the candidates will participate in community forums at Bryant Middle School.

Alexa Cunningham and Krish Mohip will be interviewed on Monday at 2:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. Forums will then be held separately for each candidate at 5:30 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.

Rhonda Carr is scheduled to be interviewed by the board at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, followed by a forum at Bryant Middle School at 6:45 p.m.

The candidates — school administrators from Indiana, Arizona and Illinois, respectively — are seeking to replace outgoing Salt Lake City School District Superintendent McKell Withers, who has held the position since 2003 and will retire this summer.
