A 6-year-old boy has been hospitalized after he was hit by a motorcycle in Salina.

Two teenagers were riding motorcyles about 6:20 p.m. Monday, near 300 East 400 South in the Sevier County town, when the boy stepped out in front of one of them, according to a statement from the Salina Police Department.

"The drivers of the motorcycles did not see the boy step into the road, and one of them struck him," the statement reads.

The boy was flown to Primary Children's Hospital. As of Tuesday evening, his condition was not available.

The Utah Highway Patrol and the Sevier County Sheriff's Office are assisting Salina police in their investigation, which is ongoing.
