A Nevada woman died Saturday morning after a crash in snowy Beaver County. She was killed on her way to Salt Lake City for her mother's funeral, and troopers are still looking for the mother's ashes, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

UHP identified the deceased as Danielle Valle, 48, of Mesquite, Nev.

About 7 a.m., a man was driving along Interstate 15 as a storm turned the road wet and icy, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Troopers say he lost control and his pickup truck slid, rolling several times.

Valle, one of two passengers, was thrown from the truck and died.

The other passenger, a 28-year-old woman, was seriously hurt and flown to a hospital. The driver also went to the hospital, though UHP did not disclose the extent of his injuries.

"It is believed that her mother's ashes were in the truck at the time of the crash," according to a UHP news release. "Troopers are searching for the ashes and when they are located, UHP Troopers will transport the ashes to Salt Lake to the waiting family."
