A 55-year-old Murray man was killed Sunday afternoon while skiing at Snowbird.

The man was skiing too fast, lost control and crashed his head into a rock, Unified Police spokesman Det. Ken Hansen said. The man was reportedly killed on impact.

Officials haven't released the man's identity until family members are notified. It also wasn't immediately clear which ski run the crash happened on.
