The House on a 51-20 voted passed a bill to add more restaurant alcohol licenses and ban drive-through liquor sales.

SB250

Rep. Brad Wilson, R-Kaysville, the floor sponsor, said the changes in SB250 are needed because of high demand for restaurant on-premise licenses.

Rep. Jack Draxler, R-North Logan, opposed the bill, saying, "Every year we whittle away at our ability to control alcohol consumption and the human cost will increase."

The bill now heads to the governor.
