Ogden police have identified the man an officer shot and killed on Friday as Justin Patrick Moses.

Police say they found Moses, 35, stabbing a woman near 400 N. 600 East when they responded to a domestic violence call at 3:50 p.m. An officer shot and killed Moses, according to the Ogden police.

The victim was taken to the hospital for her knife wounds, said Lt. Danielle Croyle. As of Saturday, she was still in critical condition.

The lieutenant was unsure of the victim's and suspect's relationship.

No officers were injured.

The Weber County Homicide Task Force will conduct an independent investigation into the shooting. The officer involved is on administrative leave, pending the outcome. He has worked for the Ogden police since January 2013.
