Fog and urban haze will linger over parts of northern and western Utah on Saturday, but a few weak storms could offer some relief from the inversion starting Sunday.

The National Weather Service predicts patchy fog Saturday morning along the Wasatch Front, with cloudy skies and haze throughout the day. In Utah County, areas of dense fog are expected to last into mid-morning, then start to lift.

Sunday will bring a chance of snow in the morning in northern Utah and a chance of rain and snow in the afternoon. This light mountain snow and valley rain and snow are expected to last into Monday.

The Utah Division of Air Quality has rated the air in Salt Lake County on Saturday as unhealthy. There are mandatory bans on open burning and use of solid-fuel stores and furnaces, and people are encouraged to reduce their driving.

There is only a slight improvement on Sunday; the air quality that day has been rated unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Highs on Saturday in northern Utah will be in the 30s and lows will range from the mid 20s to 30 in most locations, possibly dipping as low as 15 in Park City, according to the weather service.

Valentine's Day will be a little warmer, rising to the mid 30s to mid 40 along the Wasatch Front, the weather service says. Overnight lows will drop to the 20s to mid 30s.

Temperatures will climb just a little more on Monday. Presidents Day highs will be mostly in the 40s and could hit 50 in Wendover.

Skies in the St. George area will be partly cloudy on Saturday and sunny on Sunday and Monday. The high will be around 70 on Saturday and in the 60s the rest of the holiday weekend.
