Davis County search and rescue workers late Tuesday morning recovered two men whose snowmobiles bogged down overnight on the "B" mountain above Bountiful.

The two had called the sheriff's office about 5 p.m. Monday, indicating they were stuck, and amid a whiteout, but in good condition otherwise. Both reportedly are experienced outdoorsmen and had provisions and emergency gear to get through the night.

Sheriff's Sgt. DeeAnn Servey said that the two stayed in contact via cellphone with rescuers throughout the night and into Tuesday morning, when rescue efforts resumed shortly after dawn. Shortly after 10 a.m., the two were plucked from the mountainside by helicopter.

Public safety dispatchers said the two were reported to be in good condition about half an hour later, after being checked out at the rescue command center.
