Salt Lake City police confirmed late Sunday morning that mentally handicapped young man who went missing Saturday had been found alive and well.

Police said that Darryl Rivas Jr., 21, was back in the care of his family.

Rivas had been last seen at the McDonald's restaurant, 1655 W. 700 North, about 7 p.m. Saturday.

Police did not offer further details on where Rivas had been, other than to say he was unharmed.
