West Jordan police were investigating a woman's suspicious death Wednesday morning in a residential neighborhood.

About 6:45 a.m., people near 7250 S. 2370 West noticed her body on the east side of the road — which is across the street from West Jordan Elementary School — and called the police, said police Sgt. Joe Monson.

Officers subsequently identified the woman as 33-year-old Skye Schooley, who lives in the neighborhood, Monson said.

Police are unsure of how Schooley died, and her body has been taken to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy. She had no obvious injuries, Monson said, adding that she was wearing only a T-shirt and jeans. The temperature when she was found would have been about 26 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
