Sunny skies with highs in the 40s are forecast for northern Utah this weekend.

The temperature is expected to dip into the 20s overnight in many locations along the Wasatch Front and down to 10 to 15 degrees at higher elevations.

St. George will be partly cloudy on Saturday and sunny on Sunday, the National Weather Service predicts. Highs should be in the 60s and lows in the 30s.

The Utah Division of Air Quality is predicting that the air quality will remain good throughout the state on the weekend.

Colder temperatures and widespread snow could hit the western two-thirds of Utah starting Tuesday night and continuing through Thursday, the National Weather Service says.

Those with Thanksgiving travel plans are urged to monitor the forecast closely.
