A sunny, cool Saturday is in store for northern Utah.

The National Weather Services is predicting clear skies along the Wasatch Front with highs from the upper 40s to mid-50s.

Temperatures in the northern part of the state will be slightly warmer on Sunday and skies will be partly cloudy.

In St. George, the highs should reach the lower 60s on Saturday and the mid 60s on Sunday. Kanab and Escalante can expect highs over the weekend in the low 50s to near 60.

The Utah Division of Air Quality has rated the air quality throughout the state as "green," or healthy, for the weekend.

A storm system will bring widespread precipitation to the western two-thirds of the state beginning Monday night and continuing into early Wednesday, the weather service says. Temperatures will be cold enough to support snow for all but the lowest elevations.
