A Monument Valley man was found stabbed to death on State Route 163 in San Juan County on Friday and his brother has been detained for questioning.

Officers from the San Juan County Sheriff's Office and the Utah Highway Patrol and paramedics responded to a call from a passing motorist and found the body of 32-year-old Rojaer Nelson lying behind a vehicle, according to a sheriff's news release.

The release says Nelson had multiple stab wounds to his abdomen and that his death is being investigated as a homicide.

The victim's brother, Rodale Nelson, 34, also of Monument Valley, was found walking approximately a mile from the scene, the release says.
