Police were hunting for a man who robbed a Bountiful bank and then made his getaway in a stolen truck.

Bountiful police Lt. Dave Edwards said the suspect — a heavyset, dark-skinned male about 40-50 years old, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-9, and wearing a camouflage-patterned cap, gray shirt and jeans — entered the KeyBank branch at 562 S. Main St. at 12:37 p.m. Wednesday.

The suspect approached a teller, demanded and received cash, and then fled. He got into a small red pickup and drove off. Police responding to the scene found the vehicle, which proved to be stolen out of Millcreek, abandoned a few blocks from the bank.

Police said the suspect did not show a weapon during the holdup.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to ball Bountiful police at 801-298-6000.
