A 5-year-old boy was seriously hurt after he fell out of a minivan during a Millcreek crash.

Witnesses told police that the minivan was turning left from Gordon Lane (4180 South) to go south on State Street on Thursday morning, when it turned in front of a northbound Subaru. The Subaru crashed into the side of the minivan at 11:09 a.m.

The crash blew out the minivan's windows, and after the minivan stopped spinning, a 5-year-old fell out of one of the broken windows "with his own inertia," said Unified Police Lt. Lex Bell. The boy was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The boy's father, mother and three siblings were also in the minivan, and all were in good or fair condition. The driver of the Subaru also wasn't hurt, Bell said.
