St. George police say a head-on crash killed a reckless driver who allegedly cause the collision on State Road 18.

The crash, which occurred about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, 5 miles north of St. George, also sent the second driver to the hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The identities of the deceased adult male, who was dead at the scene, and the injured driver were not immediately released.

Police said the deceased was seen driving a light utility pickup truck southbound at high speed, crossing the center line and sideswiping another vehicle before he crashed head-on into the northbound full-sized pickup truck.
