A man and a woman have been arrested in a stabbing that left a Logan man fighting for his life.

Cache County Sheriff's Lt. Mike Peterson confirmed Thursday that Odilon Francisco Castulo-Guzman, 41, of Logan, had joined Adriana Silva, 37, also of Logan, behind bars in connection with the attack on 51-year old Ramon Pimienta-Real of Franklin, Idaho.

Castulo-Guzman was booked into the Cache County jail on suspicion of one first-degree felony count of attempted murder and two second-degree counts of obstruction of justice. He remained in custody Thursday in lieu of $40,000 bail.

Silva was booked on suspicion of one second-degree felony count of obstruction of justice. She posted $10,000 bail and was released, pending court proceedings.

Sheriff's deputies responding to a 911 call, shortly after 8 p.m. Wednesday, found Pimienta-Real at Sugar Park, in Amalga, bleeding from a stab wound to the chest. He was rushed to Logan Regional Hospital in critical condition, but on Thursday had been upgraded to serious.

Peterson said Pimienta-Real allegedly was wounded during a fight with Castulo-Guzman, but specific details on what led to the altercation were not released, as the case continued to be under investigation.
