Hurricane police have contacted the driver of a car that crashed overnight and rolled. He was reported to be alive and apparently well.

Police said the man's white 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer was traveling west on 600 North in the southwestern Utah town when it went off the roadway, overcorrected and rolled about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers and medical personnel, notified of the crash by another motorist, could find no trace of the driver and were fearful he may have been seriously injured, said police Sgt. Brandon Buell.

A missing and possibly endangered alert was issued. At 10:40 a.m. Thursday, 21-year-old Jeramy Lynn Manwaring, who had last been seen leaving his job in neighboring Springdale about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, was driven to the Hurricane police station by a friend.

Now, police will try to determine what caused the accident, Buell said.
