Weber County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a suspect after a man was shot and wounded at a party near Plain City.

Dispatchers received a 911 call about 1 a.m. Sunday about a shooting near 3700 N. 3900 West, which is in unincorporated Weber County, near Plain City.

"When the [call] came in, the victim, a 20 year-old male, was in the process of being transported to the hospital after being shot at a party he was attending," a Weber County Sheriff's news release reads.

Deputies believe there were "numerous people" at the home when the victim and suspect started arguing, according to the release. The two reportedly went outside, where one of them allegedly shot the other in the stomach, the release adds.

The victim underwent surgery at the hospital and is expected to survive.

As of Sunday evening, detectives were still looking for the suspect.
