A man driving with his wife Sunday evening drove his vehicle into a home in Cottonwood Heights.

At about 6 p.m., the couple, both in their 60s, were traveling southbound on 2300 East. At the intersection with Bengal Boulevard., the man suffered an unspecified medical condition which caused him do drive his Honda SUV into the home at 2312 Bengal Blvd., according to Sgt. Scott Ricks of the Cottonwood Heights Police Department.

A man sitting on a couch inside the home was thrown across the room when the car hit the home. All three involved in the incident were taken to a local hospital with injuries, though none was life-threatening, Ricks said.

Police say it is unlikely a citation will be issued.
