A man died Sunday morning after he was found shot outside a half-finished house in Murray.

Fred Mustain, 38, died at the hospital about 1 a.m.

Several hours before, about 9:20 p.m., a bicyclist was riding east on Vine Street when he heard someone calling out for help, said Murray Police spokesman Kenny Bass.

The bicyclist followed the yelling to a house that's still under construction at 527 E. Vine St. There, he found Mustain, who had "multiple gunshot wounds to his torso," Bass said.

Officers arrived and Mustain was taken to Intermountain Medical Center, where he later died.

"The officers did what they could at the scene to gather evidence, but it was dark," Bass said. Investigators were processing the scene and following up on leads as of 10 a.m. Sunday.

Police do not yet have a suspect or person of interest yet, Bass said.

Mustain "lived in the area," though Bass could not say whether that was in Murray or in a neighboring city. As far as police know, he is not connected to the unfinished home, Bass added.

Police have not released how many times Mustain was shot.
