Warm, wet and windy. That alliterative troika sums up northern Utah's weather heading toward the Labor Day holiday weekend.

Friday's Wasatch Front National Weather Service forecast called for steadily increasing cloud cover, despite high temperatures in the upper-80s, and evening thunderstorms and showers, along with winds of 20-30 mph. That forecast echoed Thursday's weather in all aspects.

Southern Utahns get the clouds, winds of 10-20 mph and heat — highs will be in the low- to mid-90s — but no appreciable precipitation was on the horizon in either Thursday's or Friday's forecast for Utah's Dixie.

The Utah Division of Air Quality graded air quality as "green," or healthy, into the coming weekend for all areas of the state.

However, the Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website listed chenopods and ragweed at "very high" levels on its pollen index as of Thursday, while sagebrush, grass and mold got 'moderate" grades.
