Victims of two separate weekend electrical shocks in Lehi remained in critical condition on Tuesday.

Lehi Fire Battalion Chief Rick Howard said 50-year-old Carla Grow, of Lehi, remained in a drug-induced coma at Mountain Point Medical Center.

Grow was standing near a tree in her backyard that was hit by a bolt of lightning last Sunday about 6:30 p.m. Firefighter paramedics had to restart her heart at the scene.

A second victim, a signage company employee, was injured Saturday morning while setting up a metal flag pole with a banner advertising a home development, when the pole came in contact with a high voltage line near 750 S. 1100 West.

The man, in his 20s but otherwise unidentified, was flown by helicopter to the hospital in critical condition. Howard said there had been no change reported as of Tuesday — though he had been conscious and communicative when transported.
