St. George police were responding to the possible abduction of a girl Friday night.

The possible abduction was reported in the area of South Dixie Drive, the police department announced on its Facebook page just after 10 p.m. Further details were not immediately available from the department, but KUTV reported that incident occurred at Tonaquint Park, located at 1851 S. Dixie Drive.

Within minutes, police reported that the child had been located and was safe, and that a suspect was in custody.
