A Kamas woman died when the car she was driving drifted off a northeastern Utah stretch of the Mirror Lake Highway and rolled this weekend.

Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Bryce Rowser on Monday identified the victim as 41-year-old Angela Jones.

The crash occurred just before 11 p.m. Sunday when Jones' westbound 2003 Mazda 6 left the road, about 5 miles outside Kamas. Jones, partially ejected as the car rolled, was dead at the scene.

A 28-year-old male passenger escaped with minor injuries.

Rowser said the cause of the crash remained under investigation, but "alcohol is highly suspected" to have been a factor.
