Seven people escaped serious injury after part of a tree in Logan Canyon fell onto their van.

The portion of the tree fell and struck the northbound van Thursday afternoon, near the Wood Camp area of the canyon, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. The impact caused the van to spin off the road.

The two adults and five children in the van were all properly restrained and no one was seriously hurt, according to UHP.
