The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a Colorado man who was killed in crash on Interstate 15 near Parowan.

UHP spokesman Dwayne Baird said it appears that 67-year-old Gary Gregg Prutch, of Centennial, Colo., either fell asleep or was distracted when GMC Envoy went out of control about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Prutch's vehicle veered off the left side of I-15's outside, northbound lane. He overcorrected, lurching back onto the freeway and then again back off the roadway, where he rolled multiple times.

Troopers found Prutch dead at the scene. A seriously injured passenger, a 43-year-old Denver woman, was taken to Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George.
