But you can "beat the heat," according to comedian Steve Carell. Really, it's all in dressing appropriately and changing your attitude.

Temperatures along the Wasatch Front, which dipped into the 70s earlier this week thanks to a rare summer cold front, will hit 90 degrees on Thursday, up a few degrees from Wednesday's mid- to upper-80s. Skies will be clear and sunny.

The Utah Division of Air Quality rated Salt Lake, Weber and Davis counties as "yellow," or compromised heading toward the end of the work week, but the remainder of the state's monitoring stations earned "green," or healthy ratings.

The Intermountain Allergy & Asthma website rated weeds and mold as "high"on its pollen index as of Wednesday, while other allergens were "low."
