Police are looking for three armed suspects who reportedly held up a group of teens walking in a park in southwest Salt Lake County's upscale Daybreak neighborhood.

South Jordan police spokesman Sam Winkler said the group of two male and three female youths told investigators that they were on park trail about 1 a.m. Saturday when the suspects — described as three Latino males in their late-teens, wearing black caps and blue jeans — allegedly pulled handguns and made off with a backpack, wallet and cellphone.

The victims told police that the suspects then got into a nearby white or silver Dodge minivan and drove away.

Detectives are currently working with other law enforcement agencies to determine if there may be related cases, Winkler said Tuesday.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call SJPD at 801-840-4000.
