A candlelight vigil in memory of Kailey Vijil, a 12-year-old homicide victim, will be held Sunday evening in West Valley City.

The vigil will begin at 8 p.m. at City Park, 3500 S. 4500 West, Sam Johnson, a spokesman for West Valley City, said.

Police said the girl was lured from her West Valley City home late Thursday by a 15-year-old boy who told her that he needed help. The girl's body was found in a horse pasture near 3600 S. 5200 West several hours later; the boy was taken into custody and could be charged with murder, according to police.

A fund for the family has been set up in Kailey's name at Granite Credit Union.
