A man has died from injuries he suffered last month when struck by a car in a Farmington crosswalk, police reported Monday.

Thomas Stockebrand, 63, of West Jordan, died Sunday, 16 days after the accident occurred, said Farmington police Chief Wayne Hansen.

Stockebrand was hit at about 9 p.m. on June 26 as he was crossing 200 West, from Forbush Park to Farmington Junior High School, located at 150 South.

He was hit by a 20-year-old woman driving north on 200 West, who apparently didn't notice Stockebrand in the crosswalk.

Stockebrand was in town for some little league baseball games and was leaving at the time he was struck, Hansen said.

Police said at the time of the accident he suffered "severe head injuries and severe injuries to his extremities."

Hansen said Monday that his department is still investigating, but plans to screen potential charges against the woman with the Davis County Attorney's Office.
