The Utah Highway Patrol has identified a motorcyclist killed when he rode into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a truck on State Road 35 this weekend.

UHP Sgt. Todd Royce said Monday that troopers still are trying determine why 26-year-old Oswaldo E. Islas-Espinoza, of West Valley City, drifted across the center line near Wolf Creek Pass about 2:15 p.m. Sunday.

Islas-Espinoza was westbound on the road, 15 miles east of Francis, when he rode into the eastbound lane and hit the truck.

The driver of the truck was uninjured.
