Crews have completed digging containment lines around the 184-acre Scipio Summit Fire.

The fire, which scorched brush, pinyon and juniper 3 miles northwest of Scipio after being ignited by lightning on June 29, was declared 100 percent contained as of 11 p.m. Monday.

About 140 firefighters, aided by water- and fire retardant-bearing tankers and helicopters, kept the flames away from any structures.

No injuries were reported, according to the Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands.
