A Provo teen is recovering from burns to more than 50 percent of her body after a utility terrain vehicle she was riding crashed this weekend in Juab County and burst into flames.

Four people were in the vehicle when it crashed Saturday in Mona, east of Interstate 15 on Cemetery Lane, Juab County sheriff's deputies wrote.

All occupants were injured, one critically. Baylee Hoaldridge, 15, was taken to University Hospital, where she was to undergo surgery on Tuesday, according to updates on a support site.

The site reports Baylee was riding with her family when the vehicle tipped over and caught fire. She and her father were trapped in their seat belts; her grandfather pulled a 5-year-old cousin to safety and then freed Baylee and her father.

"Twenty seconds later, the entire UTV exploded into flames," the site reports.

Sheriff's investigators wrote that the UTV crashed because it "was traveling too fast to negotiate a turn."

A GoFundMe.com account, Blessings for Baylee, has been set up to help her family raise money for medical expenses.
