Crews had completed fire lines around 90 percent of a lightning-caused blaze burning three miles northwest of Scipio on Monday.

Adam Solt, Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands spokesman, said about 140 firefighters were working to full contain the Scipio Summit Wildfire.

The fire was sparked by lightning on June 29. It has burned about 200 acres — revised downward after re-mapping — of brush, pinyon and juniper since then, at one point closing down a stretch of Interstate 15.

Ground crews were assisted by water- and fire retardant-bearing helicopters, air tankers and a unit of smoke jumpers.

No injuries or structural damage has been reported.
