People reportedly used their water skis to douse a speed boat that was engulfed in flames Friday on Willard Bay.

Two people were on the boat and four others were nearby when it caught fire Friday, according to KUTV-Channel 2. The two on the boat jumped out.

Someone on the northern Utah lake recorded video of the boat fire, capturing audible pops, a scream, and people swimming away from the flames and billowing black smoke.

That was before people used their waterd.

Park officials warned the public not to endanger themselves fighting fires unless somebody is in danger, according to KUTV.

"Nobody was hurt in the blaze that authorities say was likely caused by engine trouble," KUTV reported.
