No one was injured in an early morning fire Tuesday that tore through the Oriental Market in Roy.

Roy Deputy Fire Chief Cody Draheim said Tuesday that a passerby called 911 about 4:20 a.m. to report a fire coming from the building, located at 1700 W. Riverdale Road.

It took about 30 firefighters from several fire districts about an hour to extinguish the heavy smoke and flames, Draheim said. No one was in the building when the fire started, and it did not get close to setting any nearby buildings on fire.

Draheim said the building is a complete loss. The cause of the fire is still undetermined as of Tuesday morning.
