The heat is on in Utah this weekend, with temperatures predicted to hit the 90s along the Wasatch Front and climb to the 100s in the southern part of the state.

Northern Utah can expect highs on Saturday near 90 in Bountiful and Logan, the low 90s in Salt Lake City and Tooele and the upper 90s in Provo and Lehi, according to the National Weather Service. Park City will be slightly cooler, with a high in the upper 80s.

On Sunday, the thermometer will climb higher in the Wasatch Front, hitting the mid to upper 90s in most locations, including Park City, and coming close to 100 in the Provo area.

St. George and Zion National Park are expected to sizzle: A 105-degree high is predicted for Saturday and a 106-degree high for Sunday.

The hot temperatures will continue though at least the early part of the week, the weather service says.
