Officers are investigating a shooting in the Fort Duchesne area.
Todd Palmer, a special agent out of the FBI's Salt Lake City office, confirmed Sunday that his agency and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are jointly investigating a shooting on the Uintah and Ouray reservation.
Palmer, the BIA and local dispatchers could not immediately release any details about the shooting.
The eastern Utah reservation is the second-largest Indian reservation in the United States, covering more than 4.5 million acres.
