A man suffered a traumatic injury after his ATV rolled down a ravine in Duchesne County.

The 30-year-old man was riding with two others Saturday afternoon. When the other two people reached their cabin, they noticed that their friend wasn't with them, according to a Duchesne County Sheriff's Office news release.

They went back and found that he had gone off a 20-foot embankment into a small ravine, about 2 miles south of U.S. Route 40, near the Duchesne-Wasatch county line.

The man's friends called for help about 4 p.m. A medical team arrived and stabilized a man before loading him onto a helicopter, which took him to University Hospital in Salt Lake City.

The sheriff's office has not released the man's condition.
