A 28-year-old man died after he apparently fell from a longboard he was riding in the Pinebrook neighborhood near Park City.

The man was identified as Keith Mendenhall by the Park Record, which quoted a post on the O'Shuck's Bar and Grill Facebook page, where Mendenhall was a bartender.

A member of the man's family dropped him off Sunday evening at the top of a slope in the neighborhood so he could ride down, said Ray Huntzinger, battalion chief for Park City Fire Department.

Mendenhall was found about 7:15 p.m. Sunday near his parents' home, close to Pinebrook Boulevard and Brook Hollow Loop Road. He was not wearing a helmet and suffered head injuries.

He was taken to University Hospital, where he died, Huntzinger said. Details of the man's fall were not known but he did not fall on a steep section of the road, Huntzinger said.
