A man died and three other people suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash Monday in Tremonton.

A car was carrying three people south on 2000 West near 500 north about 1:30 p.m. when it apparently drifted into the northbound lane and collided head-on with pickup truck, said Tremonton Police Chief Dave Nance.

A 24-year-old male passenger in the southbound car died at the scene.

The car's driver, also in his 20s, and a passenger in his 30s, suffered serious injuries and were taken to a hospital.

The woman driving the pickup truck, also in her 20s, suffered serious injuries and was taken to a hospital in the Ogden area, Nance said.

Police were not releasing the name of the man who died, pending family notification.
