Rain is not taking a holiday this Memorial Day weekend.

The National Weather Service is predicting showers and isolated thunderstorms over the western two-thirds of Utah through the three-day weekend and into next week.

Small outbursts of hail could accompany storms.

Along the Wasatch Front, precipitation will be heaviest on Saturday, with numerous showers expected.

Highs on Saturday and Sunday in northern Utah could range from the upper 50s into the 60s, with lows in the 40s to about 50.

Monday will be warmer, with highs in the 60s to low 70s, the Weather Service says. Overnight lows will dip to the 40s and 50s.

St. George also has a possibility of rain on Saturday and Sunday, with showers likely Saturday night.

Highs are predicted to reach the 70s or low 80s on Memorial Day with lows in the 50s.
