Two Weber County men were arrested after police suspect one paid the other to kill someone.

Riverdale police responded to a dispute between a Riverdale man and an Ogden man early Thursday afternoon. Through the investigation, officers learned that the Riverdale man had allegedly paid the other to kill the Riverdale man's daughter's boyfriend, said police Sgt. Casey Warren.

The Ogden man had allegedly accepted the money, but had not followed through, Warren said. The Riverdale man reportedly wanted his money back, the sergeant added.

Both men were booked into Weber County Jail under suspicion of criminal conspiracy to commit murder. Both have yet to be charged in 2nd District Court.

The boyfriend, an adult, was unharmed, Warren said.

Police were not disclosing how much money the Riverdale man allegedly paid.
