A Salt Lake City man died after two vehicles hit him Sunday while he was walking on Interstate 215.

Dwain Rowe, 27, was walking westbound in a travel lane of I-215, according to the Utah Highway Patrol. Investigators have not determined why.

About 3:50 a.m., a Jeep Cherokee hit Rowe near 2500 East in Salt Lake City. After that, Rowe was hit by a passing semi-truck, which did not stop, according to UHP.

Rowe died from his injuries.
