A Bountiful man is accused of drunken driving after he collided with a motorcyclist last year in South Salt Lake, killing him.

Terrance Desmond Wheeler, 39, was turning his car left into the driveway of a convenience store near 600 West and 3900 South on Oct. 18 when he collided with a motorcycle driven by Justin Greaves, police wrote in charges filed Wednesday. Greaves, also 39, died from his injuries.

Blood tests showed Wheeler had a blood alcohol level of .13, over the legal driving limit of 0.08. His blood also tested positive for THC metabolite, police wrote.

Wheeler was charged in 3rd District Court with third-degree felony automobile homicide, class B misdemeanor driving with a measurable amount of metabolite in the body and class C misdemeanor failure to yield (left turn).

No court dates had been set as of Wednesday.
