Crews plan to narrow Interstate 15 to one lane in each direction in Bountiful during nighttime hours this weekend.
Also, east-west traffic will be closed on 2600 South across I-15 on the same nights.
The Utah Department of Transportation said those steps will occur as crews complete the final phase of demolition of a bridge there.
I-15 will be reduced to one lane in each direction from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Friday evening through Monday morning. UDOT predicts moderate congestion, and encourages travelers to consider alternate routes such as Legacy Parkway.
East-west traffic is scheduled to be closed on 2600 South nightly from Friday through Sunday during the same hours. On Monday night, one lane of traffic will be open there with flaggers on hand to direct traffic.
