Grants Pass, Ore. • State police are investigating a shooting in southwestern Oregon that left one man dead and another injured. Both are from Utah.

Oregon State Police say early indications suggest the Saturday-morning shooting followed an argument over the ownership of a truck.

Troopers say 43-year-old Warren Batie was found dead at the scene in rural Josephine County. They learned another man was being taken to a Grants Pass hospital in a private car.

Police stopped the car and arrested a 46-year-old Utah man. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.
