Within seconds, the 400 North bridge spanning Interstate 15 in Bountiful is competely destroyed.

In reality, it took Utah Department of Transportation crews Saturday night into Sunday morning to demolish the bridge. UDOT's time-lapse video offers the public a much quicker version, with multiple angles and a beautiful Bountiful sunrise to boot.

UDOT shut down I-15 late Friday night for the demolition, and reopened it by 3 p.m. Sunday.

Reconstruction of the 400 North bridge is expected to take four months to complete. The project is part of UDOT's plan to "improve mobility on I-15 and east/west corridors in South Davis County to meet current traffic needs," according to the department website.
